Region III CODA Retreat (Chicago)

Join your Midwest Coda friends for a relaxed retreat just outside of Chicago on Oct 18-20.



Friday kicks off with with a tour of the world-famous Morton Arboretum followed by a Pizza Party and Moonlight Splash Adult Swim. Saturday is filled with plenty of breakouts and workshops for all to enjoy.





Program Fee



Before September 30, 2013, early bird fee is only $175.00 per person. After September 30, 2013 it is $199.00 per person.



Want to go just for the day? Saturday-only is a very special $100.00 per person.

Room Rate



A very special room rate applies to Coda guests of $129 per night. It includes full complimentary breakfast, cocktail hour and free parking.





More on the Pre-Retreat Activity: The Morton Arboretum



It is a magnificent 1,700-acre arboretum and botanical garden highlighting trees and other plants from around the world in gardens and natural settings, hundreds of acres of natural areas, 14 miles of hiking trails, 9 miles of paved roads for automobile tours, and an open air tram. Seasonal events, weekend programs, performing arts, a coffee shop, and a store. Admission is $12.00.

Friday, October 18

1:00 pm–Pre-Retreat Activity; Morton Arboretum

4:00 pm–Registration begins

5:30 pm–7:30 pm–Complimentary cocktails

6:00 pm–Pizza, Salad and Ice Breaker

10:00 pm–Moonlight Splash - Pool party adult swim



Saturday, October 19th

7:00 am-10:30 am–Complimentary made to order breakfast

10:00 am-11:00–Break out

12:00 pm– Buffet Lunch

2:00 pm–Workshop by Arlene Malinowski, Actor, Writer, Instructor (Because sign language has no written language, deaf culture is passed literally from hand to hand. As Coda’s we have interpreted this. We also have stories that surround our shared history and cultural experience. This workshop will explore those stories and how to craft them. In this workshop, participants will develop their own narratives.)

5:30 pm–7:30 pm–Complimentary cocktails

6:00 pm–Buffet Dinner, Silent Auction, Socializing and Storytelling

10:00 pm–Wanna swim again? Adult swim
