Missoula is the launching city for the Montana Democratic Partyâs two month tour across the state! The tour, titled âCommunities that Workâ will provide Leadership with the opportunity to meet new Democratic legislative candidates and work side-by-side with them as they knock doors and garner support in their local community.
Here's an agenda for the Missoula stop of the Communities that Work tour:
12:00pm: The tour will launch with a noon press conference at the Missoula County Courthouse. Speakers will include Rep. Chuck Hunter, Sen. Jon Sesso, Rep. Bryce Bennett, Sen. Cliff Larsen, Sen. Tom Facey and Rep. Kimberly Dudik.
1:00pm - 2:00pm: Soon after the press conference, local Democratic legislators, legislative candidates and Leadership will have a closed door meeting to discuss 2015 legislative priorities. The meeting will take place at the Union Hall at 209 East Main Street.
2:00pm - 5:30pm: The Montana Democratic Party Leadership will knock doors in Missoula's competitive legislative districts and meet local Democrats in neighborhoods throughout Missoula.
At 5:30pm the tour group will meet at the Burns Street Bistro (1500 Burns St. Missoula, MT 59802) to enjoy live music and host a fundraiser for local Democratic legislative candidates. We ask that those in attendance please bring a beverage and an hors d'oeuvre to share with everyone.
Please share this event with Democrats throughout Missoula so that we can show our Party Leadership strong support at the press conference and evening reception. Thanks!
